DSLR Course with Blue Gecko Images

Chimpin in the Mackay Sun

Today Blue Gecko Images hosted a DSLR Course at the Mackay Surf Life Saving Club. This course was designed to help owners of advanced Compact or DSLR cameras to become more familiar with the operations of their cameras. We take them through each of the modes from fully auto to full manual control, showing the pros and cons of each mode. There is a little theory involved but with the easy to understand terminology with “No Jargon” and the “There’s no such thing as a dumb question” policy everyone was well on their way to understanding the cameras they had invested in. In fact 2 of today’s students brought out their compact “Point & Shoots” and applied what they had learnt to them and discovered modes and functions that they didn’t realise existed.

Once we had worked out with everyone, the best mode for the job, it was off to put the theory to the test. If the smiles and comments were anything to go by I think there are now four more people with a better appreciation for their cameras. It was a great day, I had a ball. I’m putting plans into place to host another DSLR Course soon. So stay tuned for more information as it comes to hand. In the mean time……

Happy Shooting
