Night Shots & Fire Dancers
Teaching photographers how to shoot night photos is possibly the hardest of all to do. There are no rules, lightmeters don’t work accurately, things move and there’s no light. So the aim is to get them thinking about light and what they need to do to control it. The students have to come to grips with cameras not being able to auto focus, and the tripod they were given, too flimsy. All in a fun night’s work.
Here are some examples of the images we shot tonight. I shot video with my Canon 7D for the first time, so over the next couple of nights I’ll have that up for viewing…..maybe.
